A skilled Occupational Therapist is needed to support students across grades K-12 in a vibrant school setting located in Waterbury, CT. This contract role spans the full school year, providing a dynamic opportunity to make a meaningful impact within the educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized occupational therapy services to students, addressing fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional independence to support academic success.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans tailored to students unique needs.
- Conduct assessments, document progress, and adjust therapy goals to promote continual improvement in student performance and well-being.
- Assist in creating adaptive strategies and materials to facilitate participation in classroom activities.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to integrate therapy goals with broader educational objectives.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Previous experience providing OT services within a K-12 school environment.
- Strong knowledge of educational laws and regulations affecting therapy services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and school personnel.
- Ability to manage caseloads independently while maintaining detailed documentation.

Duration: Full school year (Contract)
